Modernista's new site - inspired or lazy?
Hot debate on the quality of this site. I like the message behind it, but the execution is lacking (n3ws?? - is modernista staffed by 13 year olds?). After reading through a lof buzz, I’m guessing that that the desired effect of their website is the back and forth on the blogosphere. I think this might have been first a PR move and second a web redesign.

Starbucks copies Dell. Smart move.
Starbucks flat out copied Dell’s Ideastorm. I think it’s brilliant. It is great to see more brands allow consumers to openly critique and ultimately, improve their business. It is one of the most powerful examples of how social media can truly make organizations better. I wish there were more copiers like Starbucks.
